Tanned to a crisp and standing at 6 foot 2 inches, Sam Poleses presence is intimidating. His physical appearance may be the first thing you notice but any fear quickly disappears when Sam releases a good-natured and contagious laugh after his furry friend of four-years, Enzo, chases his tail in circles.
The age-old adage of "dont judge a book by its cover" is more than applicable. Known by friends and family as Sammy the Saint, he is your typical family man from New Jersey. Rarely seen without the morning paper in hand and Cubano cigar dangling from his lips, Sam is a man of many interests. While his appearance screams Tony Soprano, his hobbies and indulgences are more of Tom Ripley, without the murderer part. He speaks fondly of Madrid and the art of flamenco dance, which can only be enjoyed properly with a martini in hand. He also recommends a visit to The Prado museum to see the sprawling landscapes from the Italian masters.
After spending the morning with Sam, it is clear that he appreciates the finer things in life; a 9:00am whiskey, Florida Naturals OJ from the box, and his plush Brunch Robecoat.
