Step One: Spill a hot pot of coffee on your brand new brunch slippers
Step Two: Soak a towel in water and laundry detergent
Step Three: Scrub slippers until they are clean
Step Four: (Optional) Place in washing machine on cold with other towels

Step Five: Leave out to air-dry
